Job description

Step into a rewarding contract role providing essential occupational therapy services for students in the 2026-2027 school year. Your expertise in both traditional and innovative OT settings, including teletherapy and home health, will allow you to reach students where they are—supporting growth in fine motor skills and other foundational abilities that underpin daily success at school and at home.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current license or eligibility as an Occupational Therapist in North Carolina
  • Experience working with school-age children across multiple settings (school-based, home health, healthcare, teletherapy)
  • Strong background in supporting fine motor skill development
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with families, educators, and other specialists
  • Proficiency in adapting interventions for individual student needs
  • Ability to manage and organize a caseload efficiently

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to a caseload of around 20 students as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Conduct assessments and develop tailored intervention plans addressing fine motor skills and occupational performance
  • Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into classroom routines
  • Provide both in-person and teletherapy OT services as needed
  • Document student progress and communicate updates clearly and professionally
