Job description

Step into a rewarding role supporting early learners as a school-based Occupational Therapist for the upcoming academic term. This contract position runs from August 20, 2026, through November 3, 2026, providing you with the opportunity to work closely with early childhood and kindergarten students in a dynamic educational setting. The full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week ensures an engaging, meaningful workload while allowing you to build lasting connections with young children and their educational teams.

Key Qualifications & Experience:
• Valid Occupational Therapist license, with credentials suitable for school settings
• Experience working within early childhood and/or kindergarten environments
• Familiarity with pediatric therapy practices and school-based documentation
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
• A passion for helping young learners achieve functional goals in classroom and play-based contexts

Role & Responsibilities:
• Conduct assessments and design interventions specific to the needs of early childhood and kindergarten students
• Develop and implement customized treatment plans that promote independence and success within the school environment
• Work with teachers and support staff to integrate OT recommendations into daily classroom routines
• Support students’ sensory, fine motor, and self-regulation skills to foster optimal participation
• Maintain clear and timely documentation as required by the educational and therapy teams
• Participate in meetings and contribute expertise to the development of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
