Job description

Step into a vital role supporting student success as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), working with several school sites in the Blue Springs, MO area. This contract opportunity covers a leave from August 24th to November 20th and offers the chance to collaborate with a diverse student population across multiple educational settings.

Work across four schools, building relationships and facilitating student growth. Providers have the autonomy to create their own schedules at the years start, with supervisory support to ensure an efficient and balanced caseload. Youll serve approximately 32 direct students each week, dedicating around 800 minutes to individualized and group interventions that promote student engagement, participation, and accomplishment in daily school activities.

What Youll Bring:

  • Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Missouri
  • Experience in educational settings or working with school-aged children preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage your own schedule
  • Excellent communication to collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services at assigned elementary, middle, and high school locations, ensuring all caseload students are served weekly
  • Implement treatment plans in coordination with supervising Occupational Therapists
  • Document and track student progress, maintaining accurate records
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive school environment that nurtures student potential

This is a full-time role, generally Monday through Friday, approximately 7.5 hours each day (roughly 8:00 am-4:00 pm). The dynamic nature of this position allows for meaningful impact in students educational journeys while working within a collaborative school community.
