Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Job description

Our Occupational Therapists deliver services to students in a variety of ways, including providing consultation, collaborating with the student’s educational team, and develop and implement strategies that enable students to access and participate more successfully in their educational settings at all times, not just when the therapist is present.

Salary: $35,000 - $40,000

NYS retirement, EAP, continuing education assistance, and exceptional insurance, including retiree health insurance, are available.

Civil Service position candidates must be reachable on the existing eligibility list. If there is no mandated eligibility list, candidates will be considered for provisional appointment. Continued employment will be contingent on successfully passing the required examination and being reached on the eligibility list.

The selected applicant will be subject to a fingerprint support criminal history background check in accordance with SAVE Legislation effective July 1, 2001.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will have a current and valid NYS COTA license. Experience working in a school setting or with students is preferred.
